Pet care experience
"Dog mad" is probably an overused expression but for me it is the only way to describe my love of dogs. I work in Aberdeenshire but I love caring for dogs. I have experience volunteering at local Vet practices and helping at a Dog walking/boarding company, which has given me great experience when handling dogs. Unfortunately, we lost Jack (the handsome lad in my pics) a few years ago, which was so hard as I truly believe dogs are a massive part of a family. You can see a photo from the late 80s of myself with our beloved Tommy, our first dog and my best friend growing up! The other dog is Benji who is my parents dog who I look after regularly. My hope is to be trusted to pass on my love and care to your dog. I am a trustworthy, reliable and kind. I can provide references on request. I have a car which means I am able to travel. Mhairi was really great with Ella! Communication was easy and quick. Mhairi accommodated all of Ella's needs and even persevered through the night when Ella was not able to sleep. She was really good with Ella! I would highly recommend!
Roxy had a great time with Mhairi - she really knows how to relate to dogs and make them feel at home, and Roxy liked her from the start! She was very attentive to Roxy's needs, habits and routines, and Roxy was clearly well looked after and happy. We can highly recommend Mhairi and will happily leave Roxy with her in the future. Mhairi was completely brilliant with my young puppy Elvis. She was very attentive and loving and gave him loads of attention. They had lovely walks and Elvis was really attached to her. She even taught him a few tricks one rainy afternoon. I felt completely confident and happy leaving Elvis with Mhairi. It was evident when I came back each day Elvis had had a great time. Mhairi comes highly recommended. I wish we could book in with her more often. Thank you!
Mhairi was able to fit us in to look after Tallulah for the (very long) day at short notice with great comms. Tallulah was very happy to be left with Mhairi and thoroughly enjoyed being fussed. Mhairi kept us updated with photos throughout the day. She was absolutely lovely and Tallulah clearly enjoyed her day. Will definitely be asking Mhairi to look after Tallulah again...highly recommended! Thanks Mhairi! :)

A typical day
Depending on if I am boarding, walking or drop ins, I always take time to greet the dog. Pats, chats and cuddles are so important - no matter if first meeting a dog or you’ve met them a hundred times. I do take time to read the body language of a dog too, because I know the value in understanding the personalities and nuances of different dogs. I also understand the importance of routine and individual styles that each owner has. Leads, harnesses, treats, toys etc - I will Taylor my day to fit with whatever works for you.
