Pet care experience
Hello Friends! I hope that everyone is keeping safe and healthy while sheltering in place! I know that right now everyone's got a ton of time to spend with Fido, but if you're looking for a 30 minute respite away from them then I'm here to help even if momentarily. I have been a dog sitter for over 10 years and love the company and joy that comes from interacting with a dog or cat! I grew up with a Doberman/Rottweiler mix on a farm with a whole lot of different animals, so I have tons of experience with many different animals. I have been dog sitting since I was in college back in 1999 and, when I left college, it was my main income maker until 2002. In 2009, I worked for a local Philadelphia pet sitting company and have now been solo as an independent contractor for the past 8 years. Pups have always been a huge part of my life, so I love getting to take care of them. I love meeting my clients beforehand so that I can connect with them better. During a meet, I like to make sure that your pup and I are a good fit with one another. I try to help that process along by letting your pooch ir feline friend come to me in their own time so they know that I’m there to be their friend. It’s also a great opportunity to discuss the expectations of the stay and what I can do to make your pup as happy as possible! I make my clients my number one priority and tend to over-communicate to my human clients while their 4-legged family member is in my care. I’m always happy to send daily text, picture, and/or video messages so you can know just how your fur family is doing and what we’ve done for the day. As for my canine client, I would make sure they were happy at all times with walks, playtime, treats and cuddles. * Please note that there is an extra $5-$10 travel fee if requests are made outside for the suburbs outside of the center city area and depending on travel time. I will need to add in and modify that fee if you are located outside of center city.
Reviews
Mey continues to provide quality care for my dog with keen emotional intelligence and insight. She overcommunicates which is valuable when away from home.
Mey is pretty darn wonderful. Very professional in terms of responsiveness, punctuality, and consistency in quality care.
As always, Mey was great! Great communication, lots of pictures, and a happy pup when we got home. Will definitely look forward to working with her again!
Mey is great! we are repeat clients and this was another great visit!

Information Mey C. would like to know about your pet
Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? What’s your preferred method of communication? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? Is your dog spayed/neutered? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup?
A typical day
When I have a dog in my care I often love taking them out on short hikes and make sure to clear that with their owners. I am an outdoor enthusiast myself and love to have a furry companion accompany me on my walks or hikes outside. We'd walk the neighborhood, visit some dog parks, find some playmates, if the weather was nice enough I'd toss a ball around with her in an enclosed yard. We would hang out at my house, watch some movies, cuddle. Philadelphia has no shortage of dog parks! We might head to a dog park near his neighborhood or walk around his neighborhood in search of one. Maybe we'll visit a dog store on the way and grab a treat!
