I absolutely love all dogs and have worked at a dog boarding kennel / daycare for two years now. I also spent my summer in Alaska training sled dogs. I have experience with pretty much any breed you can think of. Although I love all breeds, some of my favorites that I've worked with include Rottweilers, Chihuahuas, and Wolfdogs (yes part wolf). My family has a Belgian Malinois mix that is full of crazy energy and always looking to get into trouble. I will also make sure to give lots of updates if wanted.

Metta did a great job taking care of our little dog, including keeping up with her complicated medicine schedule and digestive issues. We will definitely look to her for future trips.
Meta has watched my dogs several times now, and she is by far the best dog sitter I have had in a number of years.
Metta always takes the time to treat our animals, home and us with care and respect. She is wonderful with our moody one and enjoys them even as they are getting older. She keeps our home clean and is updated through our time away. She even helped with home projects that came up. Love Metta!!

As a dog owner myself I know how important your dog's safety is. I am experienced with giving meds, following special dietary restrictions, and any other specific needs your dog might have. My experience working at a boarding kennel has taught me lots about dog safety and I am confident handling just about anything thrown my way. I truly believe that trust worthy home sitters are the best possible care you can be giving your animals while away. Although I've worked at a dog day care for years, I find most dogs are stressed out in an environment like that. Your dog is already nervous when you leave for a few days, and throwing them into an unfamiliar environment doesn't help that. House sitting allows them to be in their own home, with all the smells and toys they already know, and is a much safer option.

I'd like to know absolutely everything about your dogs daily life such as what treats are okay to give, how you would like them walked (heel position always or allowed to sniff around?), any special requests with food etc. I promise no request is too much; I've seen just about anything.
A typical day
I love teaching new tricks, playing "hide and seek", working on puzzles, and other mental stimulation with my own dog. My favorite activity at the boarding kennel I work at is one on one snuggle time with dogs. They always really appreciate snuggles while their owners are away and miss them.

Availability
I work part time in the evenings usually 5pm-9pm. Monday-Thursday I have classes from 10am-4pm, so I won't be taking weekday day bookings until the semester is over because I feel that is too much time away from the dogs. I am available Fridays-Sundays though and have lots of free time then to make sure your pet gets all the exercise and attention they deserve.
