I’ve had a dog since I was a young girl in Cape Verde. Due to our previous apartment, we weren’t able to have any dogs but I continued to have multiple encounters with dogs, from pets belonging to other family members or friends. I’ve helped train younger dogs, including pit bulls with my college roommate and have had close relationships with pet owners from their dogs being less than 3 months old to 3-5 years old.
