I'm an innate 'dog person' and dog lover. I've grown up with them and always enjoy their company. I relate to them very well, primarily through body language and tone. .pack mentality makes sense to me. I trust a dogs judgement and enjoy walking, playing, exploring and otherwise just hanging out together. I've been quoted as saying ' generally speaking, dogs are better people than most people ' I am an avid outdoorsman, and local who recently moved back the Rogue Valley. I enjoy camping, mountain biking, rafting, rock climbing and most all of the other awesome outdoor recreation southern Oregon has to offer. I own a 93' Toyota Land Cruiser that I've swapped an Isuzu diesel engine into for getting to and from these activities. I've not had my 'own' dog friend for some time due to not being able to spend the time and energy I've felt would be necessary. I had been beginning to consider looking at shelters and online locally as I've recently moved to a new 3br house in Talent. My partner and I were beginning to seriously discuss bringing a dog into our life when I was unexpectedly laid off in January. After house and pet sitting for friends and family locally recently, I've joined Rover purely to spend more time with dogs here in the Rogue Valley while looking for a new job.
