Hello! My name is Meredith and I am a lifelong dog owner with tons of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I have cared for my own pets my entire life in addition to a lot of volunteering at animal shelters - So I am familiar with dogs of all ages and sizes. I am always looking for opportunities to spend time with a furry friend and care for them as if they are my own!

Meredith has a hard time passing by a dog without (at the very least) saying hello. She has a gentle but playful way about her that dogs cannot resist. Meredith specializes equally in long walks or long cuddles with dogs, all depending on their individual needs. The best thing is that Meredith is both a dog person AND a people person. She is easy to communicate with and is responsive and detailed.

I am always certain to get a full profile of a pet when I am working with them so that I know all of their needs, tolerances, and temperaments. I'm very good at following directions given by owners, while also having confidence in my pet-ownership abilities to make safe and appropriate decisions on the fly, should anything come up that hasn't already been specified to me. Safety is always the main priority while caring for your pet! I'm also a very mindful guest when staying in other homes - always making sure to leave the space as clean as I found it and following client rules and expectations (:

A typical day
Walking, playing, and cuddling! I'm both active and a homebody - I love to take long walks and then get comfy on the couch, and love having a dog to accompany me! I'd love to explore the dog parks and walking routes in the area with your pets.

Availability
My weekends that I'm listed as available are very flexible for pet sitting and walking. Whether you're gone for the whole weekend or just gone for the day and need a mid day walk, I'd be happy to help. I tend to have pretty long work days on weekdays, so my schedule during the week might not be the most suitable for your pet depending on how often they need to be let out of the house during the day. I would be very open to caring for your pet during the week as long as my schedule works for you, and would be happy to discuss a plan with you to see if it could work.
