I’m very disappointed with my dogs stay with Meredith and Jacob. I have a 5 month old puppy with an “under 1 hr” leave time and a 13 year old senior dog. I had scheduled my pickup for between 2 and 2:30, at 10 am on pickup day she asked to push it back to 3:30 - 4 because she had a brunch at 12 and wouldn’t make it back in time. When I followed up for our pickup at 3:30 I was told that they had something come up that they wouldn’t be back until after 4. They informed us that the dog who had been staying there the day before ours, hadn’t been picked up. They surrendered it to the humane society and he had been caged in the garage, never around my dogs. I don’t know what’s worse, having a dog we weren’t told about around our dogs or that a dog was locked in a cage in the garage, when the low that night was in the 30’s. Neither seems like a situation for an animal that they had in their care. We feel misled that first she was at brunch (while she was being paid to watch our pets) then the hold up was surrendering a dog, then she showed up in an Uber in a Halloween costume after 4 when our agreed pickup time was 2/2:30 and our dog yet again was not supposed to be left for longer than an hour. I went through Rover because we had a wedding where we would be gone and I didn’t want them caged for an extended period of time, just to end up paying to having them caged for an extended period of time in an unfamiliar location. Meredith seemed very nice when we did our meet and greet and her dog Penny was lovely. I definitely wouldn’t have expected today to have gone the way it did. If someone is paying you to watch their dogs that is their job for the specified time.

Meredith and Jacob are wonderful dog sitters. They were super easy to communicate with and sent pictures throughout our dog's stay with them. We had friends pick up our dog and Meredith was very patient as I tried to sort out the details. Our dog seemed to have a great time with them. We will definitely rebook with them!
