I have had three dogs since I was born, Golden retrievers. I currently have a rescue dog at my parents house named Buddy that I have tried and given a very loving home. I also have a cat named Miley who I love dearly. I love caring for animals and have watched dogs and cats for about 10 years when families and neighbors are out of town. I am SPCA Certified Pet Socializer and know to to care for and love dogs and cats. I and willing to care for all animals and pick up dog poop on walks when accidents happen. I have learned how to give my own dogs and cats medicine when they don’t want to take them by disguising the medicine and making it enjoyable for them. I have cared for many puppies and can also help train them on tasks such as sit, shake (my favorite to teach) and lay down. I understand puppies may not be completely trained yet and may be a little crazy or have the zoomies. I still will love them just the same!

Meredith took Riley with less than 48 hours notice and didn't flinch about the facts that he has multiple allergies and leaves piles of fur everywhere! She kept us up to date with daily texts and photos of Riley having fun with her on walks and sleeping in her bed. When we picked him up, he initially didn't move from his doggie bed to greet us; he seemed happy staying put with her! Meredith was also very flexible with drop off and pick up times. We were very grateful to find her and hope she will keep Riley in the future.
Meredith was so great with our little lab! We contacted her with short notice and she gladly welcomed our dog with open arms. We missed our dogs birthday and Meredith went out and bought her birthday hats to celebrate! Thanks for caring so much about our pup! Well definitely contact Meredith next time we go out of town.
Meredith was great with Harley. She met Harley before hand and was very through with asking questions and even taking notes about how to care for him. She took all our preferences/ Harley’s care into great consideration. She sent us updates and photos. We would gladly consider her first, if we need a sitter for Haley in the future! :)

I love in a house with a large main floor for your pets to run around. I have my own room where the pets can sleep and they are more than welcome to come onto my bed and cuddle! I live in a neighborhood in Rockingham that is away from the hustle of downtown. I have a yard with walking paths, and a large grassy area right next to my house. I am also willing to take animals to parks and around the community for them to explore but be cared for. My three roommates also love animals and love having animal friends over to say hi to and give extra love to.

I accept all dogs! I would like to know what the dog is like, their temper, and everyday practices and what the dog is used to. I would also require to know any special medication or needs the dog may have.
A typical day
My housing development has fun and safe trails around the neighborhood that I will take animals on walks on! I would also love to take them to campus at JMU on the quad with lots of green space to run around and to see many friendly faces. I also love smithland road dog park in Harrisonburg!

I am currently a college student with all online classes meaning I am home 24/7 to take care of your pets! Most of my classes I can do work on my own time meaning I am very flexible with my schedule in order to give your animals the love and time they need.
