I have owned personal dogs for 42 years straight! I was born a true dog-lover, dog-whisperer, and a natural pack-leader. I specialize in giant breeds (Great Danes, Mastiffs, Saint Bernards, Wolfhounds, Leonbergers, Pyrenees, etc.) but I have owned, fostered, rescued, or privately boarded dogs of all sizes, shapes, temperaments, ages, and backgrounds. My life in my home with my dogs is My Thing! I have a large fenced yard. Dogs have supervised play time outside. Water/swimming therapy can be arranged for an additional fee. Usually the dogs and I can be found lolling on the many couches in my living room, watching TV or playing together. Dogs usually watch me cook food and clean up after them, too. I can always incorporate another temporary "dog pack member" with the affection and attention he or she deserves.

I have known Mercedes for at least 14 years...both as a teacher/colleague and a personal friend. She is a wonderful lady, and fantastic teacher. In our Lee County school district's "Teacher of the Year Award"...Mercedes made it all the way to the 'final-twelve.' That is a huge honor. Mercedes is also and obviously very well liked by both her students and fellow teachers. She is very popular at our school. Finally, I have been to her home many times and have personally seen how awesome she is with her own dogs!!! I sometimes think she is 'crazy-in-love-and-involved' in their lives...it is fun to watch her interact with them. She is so good with her dogs, she actually brought her favorite Great Dane, Penny, to school with her one day...to SHOW OFF this HUGE dog to her fellow teachers and principals!!! Wow, that was a fun day for all. In conclusion...Mercedes would be great in this "Dog Sitter/Caregiver" role.
As a 25 year rescuer, transporter, foster and 50 year dog guardian (currently have 7 of my own) I completely endorse and recommend Mercedes as a dog sitter and care-giver. She is one of the most experienced, compassionate, competent dog people I've ever known, dogs of every size, breed, age, condition. Mercedes is scrupulously honest, confident and resourceful, never intimidated and she works very hard to provide for the varied individual needs of her own pack. I have no doubt she would do exactly the same for any entrusted to her care. The highest compliment I could bestow is that I would trust her with my own beloved, quirky dogs which is a rare level of approval. Rover.com would be well served having her as one of their own.
