I Do Last-Second Bookings!! Active!

Pet care experience

Hi, just wanted to start off by saying thank you for looking at my profile! I do go by Parker Ward, but I’m working on changing my name on here (it’s a process lol). PLEASE NOTE: If you're trying to do an extended stay of any kind, I may need to alter the price so you aren't being overcharged if you have MORE than one pet! I'm in the process of becoming a veterinary assistant so I have been working very hard to further understand animals in a much deeper and richer context. I love when I get to learn something new about them because that always warms my heart. Knowing I've helped an animal means everything to me❣ Additional background for Parker: I have loved animals since I was young and worked hard to help them in whatever way I can. As a kid I rescued three kittens, a litter of newborn bunnies, two snakes and several newborn pups. When I was in junior high, I volunteered with a nonprofit rescue called Pawsome Wags and Wiggles, where we fostered a minimum of eight dogs at any given time! I have experience walking four wiggly golden retriever puppies at once and can honestly say that I’ve seen it all when it comes to pet-care. Nothing is too challenging for me and I am more than equipped to care for your pup too! As an adult, I have owned many pets in my past (four dogs and five cats), but I currently have 3 cats, with my daughter naming our newest member Loki! As a person, I am energetic, punctual and caring, three traits that make me an excellent pet-sitter! I am a professional who is always on time, I put my all into whatever I’m doing, showering the pups with a ton of love and attention, and I always put their needs first, no matter what. During our time together, I take a ton of pics, and am sure to send you the best ones! Communication is important to me, so I prioritize sending photos and updates about what your pup is up to when in my care. I keep a notebook on each dog I care for with details on allergies, habits, personality traits to keep in mind, and a journal log of anything that may need to be mentioned to you (changes in habits or personality, signs of injury, etc.) This ensures you never have to tell me anything twice and I will keep a detailed record of any specifics you mention are important. I connect with dogs by creating at least one doggy puzzle for them each visit, playing games, cuddling, walking and doing all the things they love to do. Most importantly, I am extremely engaged and put 110% into every activity we’re doing together. I am extremely active and find that walking a pup or two is the perfect way to get out my energy as well as theirs! My entire career is caring for animals, so I always have the flexibility for last minute bookings! *Please note that I do have some progressive hearing loss. I’m fully capable of conversing, just be sure to speak clearly! :)

Parker (Merc) was great with my elderly, blind cat for a very first visit. He administered her medication & food and followed all my instructions. I was impressed with the photo updates, my cat was cuddling up to him like she’d known him forever! I felt so comfortable knowing my Baby got the best care and felt loved during a time I couldn’t be home!

Mercedes and David were fantastic. Came through for me with barely any advanced notice due to someone else cancelling. They were amazing at communication, keeping me posted about my pup throughout his stay. Upon pickup, my pup was in great spirits making me feel as though they provided a warm and comforting environment for him.

Mercedes has been doing great! She's been walking our 2 dogs and has been flexible with great communication. She's been patient with our anxious guy and really loving on our cuddly one.

I follow all house rules and maintain a respectful manner the entire time (honestly, just in life in general). When I’m doing any walks, I will always secure animals on their leashes with their correct harnesses before opening any doors. If an animal is having issues, or if we interact with an unavoidable unleashed dog on our journey, I promise you’ll know about the situation immediately. They’re your babies, so if something happens you’ll be aware. I’ll also provide information as to how it was resolved, along with the location in case it ever becomes relevant again. The next time I would alter the walk to avoid that area from that point on as well. No one wants to talk about those situations, but that’s why they need to be discussed!
