Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm in a rural area of Southern Maine. As long as I have been alive, my family has owned a minimum of 2 pet dogs at any given time. In the meantime, we've also had lots of other animals in our care, like bunnies, rodents, horses, cats, turtles, a donkey, and water buffalo.

My little boy is loud and full of energy, and Melynda takes him on with stride! Super flexible and communicative. Herme is the best friend Yoda needed!
I could not have been happier with the care Laika received at Melynda's. She was very responsive and accommodating with the arrangements and it was obvious that Laika was extremely well taken care of. I will go back to her every time now as I'm sure I would fine none better!
I have 2 tricky dogs but Melynda was so good and professional and communicative I can't imagine leaving them with anybody else! I hate leaving them but it was so good to know they were in good hands. Cannot recommend her enough.
Gilligan (the Golden Doodle) adored Melynda. She treated our home with great care. We were delighted. Thank you.

Has your dog met a kitten before? Is he/she friendly/tolerable of other dogs? Crate trained? Is there any specific things you're training them on? Are they vocal?
A typical day
We walk around my neighborhood, and if the dogs is high energy, we can walk (leashed) through the big hilly cemetery around the corner. If he is more of a playful pup, we can go to california fields (to be off leash) which isn't too far. Mostly, we will play with toys in my house, especially cats. Both the cat and bunny love to play chase the ribbon. We like to get ice cream, or drive to the beach, so let me know if your dog doesn't like car rides.

Availability
I am a strong communicator so you will feel confident with me as your sitter. I work at home, and so does my partner, so we can adapt to your dogs schedule. If training, we can go outside every 30 min to an hour. Usually we take 3 walks down the street or around the block, and depending on the dogs' temperament, go do "tricks for treats" at the businesses around me and on mian street. There's a few parks we are near, and dogs are allowed on the beach in the off season so that's where we walk. I love hiking and would love to take your dog with me!
