Pet care experience
My experience with pets was mostly personal through my adolescent and adult years, until I started using Rover. I have been providing mostly doggy day care and boarding services through Rover since the summer of 2021, which has offered me a lot more experience, and joy! It's been such a wonderful endeavor meeting new people and their awesome dogs. I really do love your pets and treat them as my own. You mean I don't have to pay for the food, vet bills, AND I get paid to hangout with someone else's dog?! Yeah it's been pretty great alright! I offer boarding at my house for one dog at a time (will consider more if you have two well behaved dogs). My home is their home and we become best buds pretty quick! If I could give more the 5 stars I would. Melody was compassionate, kind and had immense knowledge for my special needs senior boy. I never had to worry while Winston was in her care. Would highly recommend melody and am so grateful to have found such a wonderful sitter!

Melody took the best care of our high energy bernese x husky. We got regular updates and adorable photos of the two of them having adventures together, and Luna almost didn't want to come home at the end of the stay. I highly recommend Melody if you need someone to look after your pup
Boomar had an amazing weekend of hiking, running and chilling with Melody. She kept us updated with lots of amazing photos. Five paws up from Boomar!

I have an small unfenced yard in a quiet neighbourhood. I have a long leash outside for your dog to roam while staying safe from wandering off. I often go outside with them, especially on nice days. Otherwise I like keep a close eye on them from inside to make sure they're content.

A typical day
Based on your pets needs I will provide the best care possible! If they are social, I will take them to ferry Island/howe creek etc. High energy play, I will take them to areas like terrace mountain, copper flats or the lake. Low energy/nervous, I'm happy to take them around the neighborhood. Choose your own adventure!

Availability
Pet care currently revolves around my working schedule. I am very active in each dogs care with walks before and after work, often I have the ability to come home for lunch breaks to give them love and play time. Although anxiety can be my worst enemy, it's come to be a great motivator.
