Pet care experience
Animals make the world a better place! Myself (Melody) and Gustavo grew up caring for all kinds of animals. But our favorite of course are dogs. 😊 We currently have a dog (Bella) who is our everything and who we absolutely adore and spoil. We believe that pets are family. We have a lot of patience with all dogs and can cater to all the different personalities and needs. Please let us know what makes your dog happy and comfortable so we can make sure they are as happy as can be away from their pawrents, as well as their routine isn’t altered too much. We understand that finding someone you can trust with your baby(s) can be a difficult process. We want to make this decision as easy and stress free as possible for you, in order for you to rest assured that your pet will be loved and spoiled. We love sending daily pictures/videos and updates or as often as you like. We can’t wait to spoil your dog! 😊 Please note: Due to our cozy house, we are currently only taking in dogs that are around 25 pounds and less. Thank you for understanding.

Melody and Gustavo took excellent care of our sheltie. We got daily update comments, photos and/or videos. They were proactive about suggesting they take Merlen to our vet when some symptoms he developed seemed to linger, and coordinated closely with us and the vet regarding the course of treatment. Always very upbeat and positive. We will definitely choose them again next time we need to leave Merlen while we’re away. Thanks!
Melody & Gustavo were so great with Coco! From the communication, photo/video updates, questions about her care and providing her with the best companionship while we were away is second to none. We will definitely be repeat customers should we ever need her to be cared for again.
Melody and Gustavo (and Bella!) took phenomenal care of Ernie. They were flexible with my shifting around schedule and Ernie clearly had a great time during his stay...he even seemed a little bit sad to be home. On top of the plentiful and excellent photos that Melody sent, I also really appreciated her texts that described how he was doing throughout his stay. I felt like I was getting the true story of his assimilation into his new home away from home family :-) Excellent communication. Thank you again!

A typical day
We live in the heart of Pacific Beach, two minutes from the famous huge Kate Sessions park, (that we frequent almost every day), as well as 5 minutes from the beach. We also have a nice neighborhood to take walks. Whatever your dog enjoys, we will do. Also during the weekends we are very active and enjoy going on hikes and doing other things out and about. But, if your dog is more on the easy going side, and just enjoys walks and cuddles, we are happy to do that as well. Please bring his/her favorite toys/treats, although we also have plenty.

Availability
We both work from home so for the most part, there will always be someone with your dog. Plus, Bella will always keep them company. If you’re OK with us taking your dog on errands with us in the car we’re happy to do that as well. If we need to leave, for some reason, it will be no more than a few hours at a time and not very frequent. Throughout the day, we take lots of breaks from work to play with toys, tug-of-war, and of course, to go on walks.
