Pet care experience
I have been enchanted with animals since I was young, relishing how deep and simple this companionship can run - a lovely respite from our crazy human world. I have cared for young puppies, energetic young adults, and veteran dogs alike, mostly in the form of visiting or staying in the dog's home. For two summers in college I stayed with a husky-malamute mix and a young, tumbly pointer - that was quite the adventure :) My energy is steady and peaceful, a presence that usually makes animals feel comfortable and relaxed. I enjoy caring for more energetic dogs, and have an active lifestyle for runs or walks, but am often content to just quietly 'be.' Also have plenty of experience with cats! *I charge an additional fee for same-day bookings.

Melody was just absolutely wonderful with both Oliver and our home! Ollie was sick while we were gone and she took such good care of him, even making him special food while his digestion was off... She left our home spotless with clean sheets on the bed, a vase of bittersweet on the table and some roasted potatoes prepared for our breakfast (because she knew we were getting in super late after a two week trip). I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Most importantly, I can tell Ollie really bonded with her and was happy and comfortable while we were gone. She sent plenty of photos, videos and texts to keep me informed, which I personally really appreciated. Today, I can tell Oliver is looking around for her! ? I can wholeheartedly recommend Melody to anyone who is looking for a caring, attentive companion for their pet... and/or a responsible, kind house sitter!

Melody is probably to most loving, kind, thoughtful dog owner ever! She's very attentive and cares dearly about all pups and their pup needs :) I couldn't recommend anyone higher for dog walking, sitting, and general care taking. You won't be disappointed and your money will be well spent.
Melody is a very nurturing, kind, and responsible person. It's super important that we genuinely trust the person caring for our beloved doggies. Melody is definitely is the kind of person who will keep you at ease and go the extra mile (literally &figuratively) to take fantastic care of your animals.

I would like to know the pup's habits, behavior around children/other dogs if there are any issues there, any triggering circumstances -- any training that I can help keep up with :) I want to be able to provide consistency with what the dog is used to and what the owner is working toward.
A typical day
I am willing to take the dog as far and wide as the owner is comfortable with - neighborhood parks or beaches, rides in my Jeep to hiking spots, etc., or simply throwing toys in the back yard.
