Pet care experience
I simply love animals... all animals! I worked as an animal caretaker at a local zoo, where I have 5 years of care experience with animals from bobcats, opossums, to multiple bird and reptile species. I can not have a dog of my own but I love their energy and the joy they bring and I just want to make sure their lives are as full as possible! I do have 4 pets of my own, two guinea pigs and two axolotls, you could say I’m a crazy animal lady! I’ve been currently walking one dog consistently for 5 years and I used to house sit for my grandparents dog when they travelled to Florida for three months in the winter. Sadly, my most recent cat passed away very young a couple of years ago from cancer and I have a hole in my heart to fill. I truly believe animals and dogs especially deserve the best, they are too precious for this world! I’m active, love going on nature walks and would love a companion occasionally during my adventures! I would cater to the dogs needs, and keep them company or simply play with them to keep them sharp, attentive and not bored or alone during the days.

Melodie has repeatedly taken care of our dog when have gone away on vacation, and after the first time,I left perfectly at ease. She is very conscientious on how the do behaving , if he’s getting enough exercise, if he’s eating the right food, and especially, if he was happy. Mel has a wide range of knowledge and experience with dogs and other animals alike. She use to dog sit for her grandmother months at a time caring for a chihuahua. She’s also lived with bigger breeds of dogs and has helped her family care for them. If I needed a animal caregiver Mel would be the first person I turn to 100%!

Local nature trails, such as DNRT area or state beaches. There are also local dog parks I know of and plenty of yard space to play fetch or run around with my friends and I.
