Hello! My name is Melodie! I’ve pet sat for many years and enjoy getting to know individual pets and their needs. Additionally, I am a Fear Free certified veterinary student. I am very happy to meet any requirements your pet may have. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, tortoises, horses, fish, and various birds. I also have worked with and am comfortable walking dogs of any size and age, including rescue pups, who may have more specific needs. Additionally, I have worked as a kennel technician and veterinary assistant, so I am well aware of proper animal care and what to look out for in case of emergencies. I am currently available during weekends only, but will have more weekday availability after May 24th. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

Melodie’s been my go-to pet sitter for the past two years. She’s awesome about making sure Cleo gets enough outdoor time and attention and has even been able to administer medication for me while I’m gone (medicine for an ear infection and antibiotics for a wound). I hold myself to high standards when it comes to taking care of my dog and I expect no less from my sitters; Melodie’s met me there every time.
Melodie is fantastic with dogs. She has a ton of experience (vet clinics, shelters) working with dogs in various conditions of physical and mental health. She is loving and calm with my roommates anxious shepherd and my timid cat. She is an advocate for positive training techniques and knows how to train dogs, provide the right amount and kind of exercise for different dogs, and has the medical experience to handle dogs that have health conditions and need medications or special monitoring. I would highly recommend her for any pet sitting needs.
