Pet loving Certified Vet Tech
Pet care experience
I started my first dog walking job and horse stall cleaning job when I was 10 years old. I worked in Veterinary Medicine for 10 years, am a certified veterinary technician. I have had, and still have many pets of my own. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, cats, rats, horses, sheep, rabbits and chickens. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs, am able to medicate and assist animals as needed. I give excellent face, belly and butt rubs for all ages.

Safety, trust & environment
I follow the instructions I am given, pet safety is my number 1 priority. I make sure I leave places the same as I found them (food supplies put away, no empty cans left out). I arrive in a timely manner, greet pets, let them out (if applicable) feed/medicate (if needed) and then like to let them out again. Or, if it's an indoor pet, spend some quality time with them.

Information Melodie D. would like to know about your pet
I like to know their usual routine, feeding time, medications if there are any. I also like to know what their likes/dislikes are, if they have any funny quirks, their favorite play activities or how they most like to be pet (one of my dogs only loves face rubs). I want pets in my care to feel as little interruption to their daily routine as possible, to keep stress to a minimum.
A typical day
As I do drop in visits only, I will only walk in the neighborhood if walks are requested. If pet's are used to just being let out in the fenced yard, I'll do that and stay with them while they're outside.
