Real pet CARE from a pet lover! Yep, that's me. Your pet will receive attention, exercise, care, and security with me. I have cared for and trained many animals throughout my lifetime. My three dogs are perfectly imperfect examples of well-behaved, happy, healthy members of the family. They love having visitors to hang out with in our fenced 1/4 acre yard, on walks, and sleepovers. Our home has fostered for 4Paws for Patriots to provide service dogs for veterans. I only host up to four dogs at a time, so if you have vacation plans, please book early. NO aggressive animals will be accepted! I offer safe, friendly, attentive care in a country-type setting and home. Love, play, and friends with paws come free with your pet's stay! Questions? Prior to this service, we had never left our Lucy with a dog sitter. Lucy has special needs and requires daily medications. We were a little nervous about leaving her with any sitter. After meeting with Melissa and her husband on a "meet and greet" with Lucy we decided Melissa and her husband would be a good fit for our needs. And we are so glad we did! Everything was good and we recommend Melissa to all.
Mikah had a great time at Melissa's. I felt very comfortable leaving our new puppy with her. Melissa sent me pictures and kept in touch. Would highly recommend her .
Melissa is so kind and easy to communicate with. She watched our Indi during the holidays and we are thankful to have found someone to love Indi when we are away.
Melissa was great with my pup! She has an awesome backyard for the dogs to play in and it was clear she loves taking care of animals. She even sent some great suggestions for hiking trails for our road trip back home! I will definitely be booking with her again when we’re in the area.

The yard has a 6' board fence. Dogs have free run in the entire space. They are always closely supervised. I do not crate any dog unless requested; I realize some dogs prefer their own little personal space.

Please be sure to fill out your vet information in the app, bring a copy of vaccination records at the time of your first visit, and bring any medications needed during a stay.
A typical day
My dogs and guest dogs have free run of our backyard for large parts of the day, depending on weather. They are always closely supervised. We can go on walks if your dog is leash trained. We play A LOT of ball here! Quieter dogs generally choose to hang out with me and snuggle or play one-on-one; fringe benefit of the job!

I am a full-time caregiver. My day revolves around the dogs' care needs and comfort. I'm lucky to work doing what I love to do! I'm willing to be very flexible with drop off and pick up times. I prefer 6 a.m.-8 p.m, but I'm willing to work with you around your travel schedule. Per Rover policy, if an overnight exceeds 24 hrs., 50% of full rate applies to 2-8 hr. extensions, and 100% for extensions over 8 hrs. Again, I'm flexible with this; but, please know my time is nearly always fully booked, and I have a schedule, too! 🙂
