Pet care experience
*Update* Starting the week of May 11th, 2022, I will no longer be able to book house sittings due to my post-graduate schooling schedule. Thank you! Hi! My name is Mel and I absolutely love animals, most especially dogs! I have adopted, lived with, trained, and loved dogs my entire life and I have experience with many different breeds and ages. I also have experience with puppies, special needs, and senior pups. In addition to pups, I also love caring for cats, as I can’t get one of my own. I live with my husband in an apartment with our dog Mav! I have a very flexible schedule and I am able to walk, house sit, watch over, or have slumber parties with your furry friend on most days of the week! Please let me know if your pet needs any special care or would love to be taken on some fun outings (dog park, hiking, etc.) Know that your dog will be shown lots of love, taken on lots of walks, and be given lots of pets :)

Melissa is absolutely amazing! I felt at ease leaving Scout and Finn at home. She’s communicative, offered to edit time frames if need be, sent updates, pictures and videos. I would have her watch our babies again in an instant!

Anything your pet is uncomfortable with or if they have any special needs! I’ve had dogs who don’t like loud noises, are afraid of thunder, don’t like men etc. I have extensive experience with blind and deaf dogs, and with large dogs (German shepherds especially :) )
A typical day
I usually adapt to what your animals prefer! I will take dogs that love walks and being outside on different routes everyday so that they get a chance to be stimulated by different smells! I’ve also taught many pets new tricks and did training with them.

I am currently taking post graduate classes to apply to nursing school! Everything is online right now so I am able to dedicate a lot of time to caring for your pets. My schedule is flexible aside from unavailability starting in May 2022.
