My name is Melissa and I've had at least one dog at my side at all times pretty much my whole life. I grew up with dogs and by my pre-teens I was walking not just my dog, but friends, neighbors, and families dogs too, not for money, but just because I loved it. My passion for dogs grew as I went through college and transitioned into adulthood. While I wanted to start a career with dogs, I felt pressured to use my degree and join the corporate world, so I walked and studied dogs in my spare time. A few years ago I was laid off in downsizing and decided to finally follow my dreams and start a walking business professionally. The business did very well, but when offered a position making more money, I once again felt obligated to give up my passion and take the higher paying job. I have since moved St. Petersburg and am chasing my dreams yet again. I LOVE walking dogs, it's my passion, and I'm exceptionally good at it. When people say their dog isn't "walkable", or is a nightmare to walk, I always prove them wrong! I love dogs, I enjoy reading about their health and nutritional needs, their behavior, psychology, and what makes them tick inside and out. To me, it's not just about walking a dog, it's about understanding a dog and building a deep relationship that is full-fillingto both me and the dog.
