I'm an avid animal lover. There are people that love dogs, and then those that are completely obsessed. That's me. I can't walk past a dog without saying hi, and introducing myself. I wholeheartedly love animals. I'm at my happiest when around them I have been rescuing stray cats and dogs since a young child. I currently have one fur baby. He is a fifteen pound West Highland Terrier. He is very friendly, loves to play, but also likes his downtime. I can't wait to shower your fur baby with lots of love and affection. Their safety and happiness is my utmost concern while they are in my care.

I had last minute change in schedule when my previous dog sitter cancelled so booked Melissa. She was so accommodating and sweet, even at last minute. Met my two pups before hand. Made sure they got along with her pup and family. She was very thorough with instructions and sent me pics of girls enjoying themselves throughout the day. Melissa is very communicative, loving, and reliable. I will definitely be booking her again.
Melissa was awesome. She watched my 15 week old puppy for 5 nights and he is a needy puppy. I got tons of pictures and updates that really made me a lot less nervous. She gave him a ton of love and did fun things with him and i think he was a little sad to come home lol. Will definitely use again ! Thanks Melissa !

Communicative, caring and positive. I’m so happy with our decision to have our fur baby spend the holidays with Melissa. She took lots of pictures so it made us feel connected. Melissa made sure our little one was active and happy the whole time. I would highly recommend her!

I do have a six year old son. Please no dogs that have a history with biting, aggression towards other dogs (on or off leash). I only accept dogs that are friendly and socialize well with other dogs. Dogs must well trained on a leash and not pull or display leash aggression towards other dogs.
A typical day
I live in walkable neighborhood of Point Loma. If weather permits our daily routine usually includes a trip to Encinitas dog park. It's a very clean dog park with lots of grass that is well maintained and secure. It's a wonderful place for dogs to be off leash and meet new dog friends. We also love to daily walks along Shelter Island and enjoy the fresh breezes and sunshine.

I currently work from home. I make my own work schedule and so the dogs activities such as walks, dog park, and playtime are built around my schedule.
