Pet care experience
I've had a family dog in Massachusetts for 15 years, she's a small mutt and I have loved caring for her over all of these years. Over the course of high school and college I have pet sit a number of times for friends and family for both cats and dogs. I did my Bachelors degree in marine biology and I think that has only deepened my love for all animals. I typically work down at the base of the Cape Tuesday-Thursday, and telework Mondays and Fridays. In my spare time when I'm not working, I would love to walk and take care of pets. I am a very fast learner and I am able to follow any dietary, exercise, and/or medication routines necessary for your dog.

I am so very happy with the care Melissa provided to my dogs. I hired Melissa through Rover to house sit and look after my three small dogs. She did such a great job! She met me in advance. She had already studied up on my dogs online profiles and was ready with questions about their eating habits and personalities. The dogs immediately took to her. And I could tell she would give them plenty of love and attention. I felt very confident leaving my home and dogs under Melissa's care. I cannot accept animals in my current living arrangement at this time, but would love to stay at your house to take care of your pet if that's something you're comfortable with. I'm also good with drop in visits and walks on days when I'm not working on the Cape, and during the evening every day.

I'm used to taking care of my parents' senior dog, so I would be happy to learn any medications or special quirks. I would also like to know in advance about any triggers or potential aggressions, if any, that your pet has.
A typical day
I love taking dogs for long walks at local parks and natural areas. I also love to spend chilled out cuddle time with animals and I would love to engage them with their favorite toys.

Availability
I typically work down at the base of the Cape Tuesday-Thursday, and telework Mondays and Fridays. In my spare time when I'm not working, I would love to walk and take care of pets. Tuesday-Thursday I am available after 7pm, and I would be available all day for pet sitting in your home Friday-Monday (drop ins and walks after 5 Monday & Friday).
