I am a graduate student and have been caring for marine mammals for over ten years through rehabilitation and research! They aren't pets, but through this I became highly skilled in understanding animal behavior, administering basic and emergency meds, practicing proper cleanliness, and creating/maintaining feeding and exercise schedules for the animals. I also have experience with pets! I grew up with multiple dogs in my household, volunteered for a humane society, and have been a trusted pet-sitter and dog-walker for many different friends and family for the past decade. I also have years of experience caring for less-common pets, including goats, pigs, cows, fish, snakes, lizards, chickens, and small mammals. I do not have any pets of my own currently, but I recently owned two amazing rats for four years, so I understand the intimate bond you have with your pets and the importance of finding the best care for them! I work mostly from home so my schedule is flexible on weekdays, which is perfect for making sure your pup is entertained while you are at work! I am an outdoors enthusiast, whether paddleboarding or backpacking, and do so frequently with my own pet rats and my family dog! Therefore, I understand the potential dangers of bringing your pets into nature (e.g. snakes, heat-stroke, ticks, dehydration), and know how to properly keep your pup safe if you choose for me to take them on a hike!
