I feel so incredible blessed to have found this Doggy Care Home so full of love, confidence, professionalism, compassion, and such a great space for Gabby.

We did not want to have to write a negative review, but due to safety concerns would like to share our experience. We first used Scott and Melissa for a 4 hour stay about 7 months ago, which went well despite not being let inside the home to see where our dog would be (they indicated the house was being remodeled). We then booked a 2 night stay for this past weekend. When we dropped our dog off, we again were not allowed inside the home. My husband offered to help carry our dog’s items inside and it was very evident the owners were trying to keep us outside. Our previous rover sitters have always been very open in showing us where our dog would be staying, sleeping, etc. I was very anxious to leave our dog (as I typically am), and was promised we would receive multiple updates and pictures each day. I had to message in the app and text multiple times just to receive a brief update, which was not sent until hours later. One of only a couple updates we received (after asking) indicated that Scott and Melissa were out to dinner and our dog was with their son in the kitchen (no details on how our dog is doing, how he is eating, etc.). Our previous rover sitters have sent multiple updates on how our dog is without ask. When we picked up our dog, his behavior was significantly off. He typically is tired after rover stays as he is a high anxiety breed, however this time was much different. He was lethargic, having diarrhea (with blood in stool), showed signs of dehydration, and signs of a UTI (my husband and I both work in healthcare). We took him to the vet who confirmed he had a UTI via urinalysis (he has never had one before this) and dehydration. We can only assume he was kept in very poor conditions without frequent potty breaks or access to water. When we asked the sitters details regarding where our dog was kept when they were gone, it was met with an ever changing story. Lastly, the sitter stopped us on our way out to ensure we would give them a 5 star review (as there are 2 other reviews from the past couple months with similar experiences). However, we would hate for this to happen to any other dogs so feel we need to share our true experience. The app still shows the sitter with a 5 star rating, however as mentioned previously there are multiple other reviews from clients who have had very similar experiences. We love our dog as a child, and are very upset he was treated this way.
