I’m a vegan who loves ALL animals - not just the ones inside our homes. I have experience with baby animals as well as seniors. I can also accommodate any special needs animals.

Melissa has watched my cat a couple of times now and she is so thorough as a sitter!! She goes above and beyond to be helpful and I feel safe leaving my Elio in her hands no matter how short or long I may be away. She even threw out my pizza i left by accident 😂 I will always book Melissa if she is available.
Mellissa is the very best!
Melissa is the very best! Not only does she takes excellent care of my Beagle, but she also personable, warm and friendly! My front desk folks adore her!!!
I loved her attention to each cat's individual personality. She sent lots of detailed updates with pictures, and the time and care she gave to my boys was very clear. She followed the instructions I left but was also flexible to make good judgments that kept everyone safe and happy. I will absolutely be looking to book with her again and I know my cats will be glad!

I have a cat at home and she’s comfortable around calm dogs, like seniors. She tolerates high energy dogs but doesn’t want to be near them. I also just got a puppy a few months ago, and admittedly her and the cat are not getting along so well but we’re hopeful that they will eventually become friends. My new puppy is a 6 month old Aussiedoodle named Bijou. She’s currently about 22 lbs and has boundless energy 😅 I’m opening my availability back up to boarding because I really enjoyed it when I did it last year and I think Bijou would appreciate having a playmate for a few days. I used to only board dogs who were calm/low energy because of my fearful cat. But now that I have crazy Bijou, I’m open to boarding any dog who will help tire her out. Also, Bijou seems to enjoy learning from the behavior of adult dogs, which I think is great. My apartment is small so with over 2+ animals in there, I can only host small or medium breed dogs. When it comes to walks and drop-ins I have no restrictions. I love to give animals lots of attention and snuggles 💕

Information Melissa S. would like to know about your pet
I will love and accept all furry personalities - both sweet and sassy! If I’m boarding your dog I’ll typically ask about his/her energy level, their comfortability around cats, and how long they can be left home alone. I usually don’t leave the apartment when I have a dog staying with me but I like to ask just in case I need to step out for any reason.

When I’m hosting a dog I like to give them 24/7 company so if I’m ever going out somewhere I’ll typically ask if I can bring your dog along ?

I used to do Rover full time for most of 2023 which is how I racked up so many reviews 😅 Thank you so much to all of my loyal clients and their amazing fur babies! You rock! 🐾🦮🐈💕 I’m back to working a full-time job now…. with humans instead of animals 😭 so unfortunately now I’m only able to do weekday walks and drop-ins after work hours. If I’m home in Arlington I can do weekend walks and drop-ins at any time - please make sure to check my Rover calendar, as it’s always updated! 😊 Also, I’m no longer able to take clients in DC. I keep getting tickets from the speed radar and they’re $100 each!! 🤯💰
