Pet care experience
We have loved working with Rover and pet sitting! Meeting so many nice people and their awesome pets! When we dog-sit, the dogs are treated with love and just like another member of our family. I am very responsive and respectful to the owners and pets needs, including schedules, treats, walks, medication, etc. We have a very large fenced in yard and a safe neighborhood for walks. We can accommodate crates, but do not require them. What ever makes you and your pup the most comfortable! I also have a gated in area in the house just for your dog so they are especially safe when I leave the house.

This is my second time using Melissa. My dog loves going to her home and we felt at ease the moment we dropped him off. Highly recommend.
Melissa was so nice and accommodating. She even offered to pick up and drop off our dog since it was our wedding. Cruz came back happy as can be and she shared some videos of him playing and having a great time. Would definitely use her again.
Melissa took such good care of our little guy, sent several updates and pictures, which really put my mind at rest about leaving him for a couple of days. She was super easy to work with, and her backyard is great and so secure.
Melissa is lovely and took great care of my 2 dogs!

When your dog is with my family, they are treated like a member of the family. I will do whatever you are comfortable with as the owner, leaving the pet out during the day or crating. Whatever you think is best! I've even had dogs on a scheduled nap time :) open communication here is important! I will ALWAYS send photos but usually do this via text as the app is a bit burdensome.

I would want to make sure that your dog gets along well with other dogs. I also have an older child in the house, so as long as your dog is friendly with a family environment, we will have a great time! I will arrange separate meal times as well as keep the dogs separated should I leave the house for added safety.
A typical day
We have a big fenced in yard for fetch! We also live in a quiet community with a perfect 1/3 mile walk in a circle. If your dog wants more of a walk, the bay is about 1 mile away, and that is a great walk as well.

Availability
We are a busy family but in the summer, I am home most of the time. We have our 2 pups, so typically a new visitor, just jumps right in and follows the pack. As a teacher I’m off all weekends, holidays, summer and am always home by 3:30, leaving lots of time for the doggies.
