Melissa was very nice and sent multiple pictures and updates to us about Maggie. She met with us at her home before we left for our trip. This was the first time that we have ever left our dog for more than a day and we have only had her for 5 months---unfortunately Melissa ended our stay early due to Maggie showing signs of separation anxiety (we could not have been prepared for this as we have never left her before, which Melissa was aware of), which was both stressful and unexpected. Luckily we had a friend that was able to step in and help, but better and more direct communication tactics from Melissa would have made the situation much easier as there was no prior communication indicating that Maggie's' stay was not going well. I would recommend Melissa but for shorter stays.

I could not speak more highly of Melissa! She watched our dogs this past weekend and went above and beyond for our oldest dog, Maggie. Right before we went on vacation Maggie had a reaction to an intranasal vaccine she received. Melissa dealt with a hard situation, taking her to our local vet and handling the nightmare of dealing with picking up human prescriptions for a dog. She went out of her way to reassure us as owners and make sure Maggie was in the best possible health-all while being super calm and flexible. She sent multiple photos of the girls walking, playing, and getting their treats. Prior to our visit she also met the girls and came prepared with questions about their habits/routines which was impressive in itself! I would highly recommend her to anyone thinking about using Rover and plan to use her again myself when needed in the future!
