Pet care experience
Over the past 20 years I have been working with pets in all different capacities, including working as a kennel technician in a veterinary hospital, overseeing playtime at a doggie daycare (average 45 dogs per day), and caring for dogs at an overnight dog boarding facility. I have also raised multiple service dogs for Canine Companions for Independence, and trained my own dogs in AKC agility, obedience, rally, flyball, and conformation. I am highly experienced with all ages and breeds of dogs and would love to help care for your pet! I am also very active and am willing to walk or hike with your dog, depending on your pets energy and comfort level. I have extensive experience with gentle, positive, dog training and am willing to work with all types of dog leash manners.

We really appreciate Melissa help with our animals. She updated us with pics everyday and spent a lot of time with animals making sure they are loved and have attention.
Melissa was fantastic taking care of our cats. She kept them on a consistent medication schedule and sent lots of photos and videos with each visit. They were spoiled with attention, play time, brushing and Melissa was both patient and creative with overcoming their sometimes picky eating preferences. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience for the cats or for us!

I am happy to take your dog to one of the local parks and/or to provide daily walks around the neighborhood. In the past I have been able to take my dog along with Rover dogs on longer hikes/walks (if you are okay with it).
