Pet care experience
I've grown up with dogs of my own throughout my entire life, and I have always jumped at the opportunity to meet new dogs through petsitting jobs. I've had experience with petsitting for as long as I can remember - from neighbors, friends of the family, and later from people who had just heard about me through word of mouth. A few recent experiences I've had with dogsitting include a few check-ins per day to feed, walk, and play with the dog, and house-sitting gigs. I always cherish the time I get to spend with animals and I love to provide help for families who need an extra hand with their pet. I’m also experienced with cat care as well, as I have a cat of my own and frequently care for others’ cats as needed.

Melissa is a kind and caring person who was my dog walker/sitter for my pit/lab rescue Cecelia since she was a teenager. She even did some overnights for me. I never worried when Melissa was caring for Cece as I knew she was safe and always in good hands. She would be an excellent addition to your team.
Melissa was responsible and timely with watching my two dogs and three cats. No small feat with a puppy and an older dog at the same time. I would highly recommend Melissa.
We have used Melissa as a dog sitter for several years. We found her to be friendly, dependable and caring. She easily learned the feeding and walking routine. Our dog Lucy can be difficult when meeting new people but Melissa was very patient with her. She sat on the floor until our dog was comfortable and she played with Lucy in our yard and walked her around the neighborhood, first with us and then alone. She was willing to take her time and it payed off. Now Lucy is always excited when she visits. I recommend Melissa as a very competent, enthusiastic dog caregiver.

A typical day
I will walk the dog around the neighborhood. We can play with toys, practice tricks, etc. For cats, I’m happy to play with toys inside, snuggle, check on food and water.
