Pet care experience
I have been around animals my whole life and absolutely love them! I have worked at a veterinary clinic for a few years as a veterinary assistant which taught me many different things about caring for animals. I have worked with many different types and breeds of animals, everything from farm animals to reptiles! I am comfortable with and have experience giving medication to animals if needed.

In my time of knowing Melissa, she has shown in multiple ways how she cares for everyone around her, that has always included any pets around her as well. Everyone knows dogs are very smart and are very good at judging character. Dogs sense her comforting and fun personality and are drawn to her. Her experience in emergency animal medicine is always a plus!

I live on a partially fenced in property that has room for your dogs to run around and get some energy out. I am in a quiet area, far from any main roads. If your dog or cat is not 100% potty trained, I am willing to make accommodations in my home for boarding.

A typical day
I love to walk and explore the trails throughout Placerville, parks are also a great resource for exercise if your dog is friendly with other dogs. I love to play fetch and reward good behavior for dogs that are still in the training process.

Availability
I am currently working 48-hour shifts, so I work 2 days and have 4 days off. Four days with lots of freedom to hang out with your pets! I know my schedule months in advance so I am able to work with people who may be planning a vacation or business trip. I am flexible, reliable, and easy going.
