I am the dog lady. That's how my friends describe me. My whole day is dedicated to canines in one way or another. I worked at a doggy daycare/bootcamp for five years as a lead trainer, I have completed the Pet Tech First Aid and CPR Class. I have my Canine Specialist diploma from Stratford Career Institute and I am currently working on my certification as a Trick Dog Instructor. I foster less adoptable dogs, helping them become more family friendly, and I also train my own dogs. All techniques are based in positive reinforcement. Your pup will have no choice but to blossom with me.

Melissa was absolutely fantastic. I was super nervous because it was first time leaving our Malinois with someone other than the vet but Melissa made sure to meet her first - it really helped me feel even more comfortable. I got regular updates & didn’t worry about my three fur babies the entire wedding weekend. Definitely will rebook with her!
Melissa was amazing with my 2 challenging, little dogs. One has never stayed overnight anywhere but home. The other is deaf and recovering from a recent injury. I feared the worst, especially from the mama's boy who has never boarded. But Melissa kept everybody happy and safe, and they had a good time. She is our miracle worker!!

I have finally added daycare and boarding to the menu. I provide a clean and safe place for your dog to make friends and get the exercise they need. In addition to low impact sand backyard, there is a park right down the street for those explorers and I also have a doggy treadmill for the days when the weather doesn't cooperate. I also provide 2 neighborhood walks when weather permits. I do require vaccines,,and prefer a meet and greet before we start boarding. I know it's important to start making arrangements early, so I look forward to hearing from you before you need me.

I like to know the breed, size,and energy level along with any fears or phobias the pup may have. Knowing how long owners have had their pups and any training they may have recieved is also helpful. Vaccine records and negative fecal tests for boarders are a must.
A typical day
I am a lover of games and relationship building with dogs. I love to make any time with me fun, but also educational. Playing with toys and earning treats along the way won't feel like work, but will be a daily bonus. You will start to see a better behaved pup after I've gotten my hands on them.

Availability
I am what I like to call Semi-Retired so, I practically have 24/7 availability. I am home all day except for a few errands here and there. The pups will be watched and cared for diligently.
