Firstly, so that they feel at home and I can adhere to their usual routines, your pet and I can get to know each other. Regarding dogs, here are some of the things I would like to know about: 1) What experience they have with cats 2) Any pulling when walking on the lead (I can't walk bigger dogs who are strong and do this) 3) Any aggression and if so, what triggers this 4) If they like to eat things they shouldn’t eat 5) If they are happy to be alone for a few hours sometimes - this is now a must. 6) Socialising styles - do they get along with other dogs? 7) Obedience / training Also applies to cats: 8) Special needs, health and any sensitivities 9) Likes and dislikes, i.e. favourite treats, toys and places to sleep

A typical day involves walking and running along the trails and farm tracks; we also spend time playing and curling up on the sofa. During the holidays, I usually go out for a few hours a day or every second day visiting cats. Sometimes I'll also pick up and drop off dogs for boarding. For dog people: please note that boarding and daycare is closed for winter. For previous clients, house sitting may be an alternative option.
