Pet care experience
I love all dogs! I am an experienced dog owner - I grew up with labradors retrievers and currently have two rescue mutts, a 9 year old and a 4 month old. With these two I have experience with puppy training all the way to exercising with a slower senior dog. The labs I had growing up went through basic to intermediate and advanced training and I loved learning about training dogs and spending time working them. I have been pet sitting my neighbors dogs since I was 13 and have learned to work with all different sizes and temperaments. I love spending time with all dogs - whether it’s walking, playing, hiking, swimming, relaxing, etc. I am a teacher throughout the year but have the summer off and want to spend it around some new furry friends! I will work with dogs of all sizes and breeds and will treat them as my own.

I've known Melissa for over 10 years and she's better with dogs than anyone I know. She comes from a family that loves dogs and knows how to train and work with them. Melissa is incredibly organized, responsible, and treats other peoples dogs like her own. When Melissa is watching our dogs we never have to worry at all and she does it all with a smile on our face. It's awesome knowing that the dogs are going to be walked, played with and fed on time. Even with older dogs, those that need medicine, or just require some special care, Melissa is completely comfortable following complex or inconvenient directions. I never have to look anywhere else for a pet sitter - Melissa is as good as it gets!
Melissa has been the best pet sitter for our dog Mickey. He is a fairly nervous dog and sometimes won’t eat when we are away. He also has a tendency to run away when he has the opportunity, but I never worry about him when he is with Melissa. She takes such good care of him, hand feeds him when he won’t eat, and sends picture updates of him while we are away! She’s a great pet-sitter/dog-walker :)
Melissa is the very definition of a dog lover! She is so great to my dog, Gary, as well as my cat, Baxter. She is experienced in walking, training, administering medication, and all types of animal care. She is dependable and responsible when she dog-sits for me. I only trust my cat and dog with Melissa.
Melissa fits all of our requirements. She is a sweet caring girl who clearly knows how to handle animals both big and small. Her responsibility and punctuality in combo with communication skills will make any pet owner feel completely comfortable leaving their loved furry family member in her hands. Highly recommended!!!
