Hello everyone! My name is Mel and I've been taking care of animals professionally for over 10 years! I received a degree in Exotic Animal Training and Management from Moorpark College in 2008, with certifications in Wildlife Conservation, Wildlife Education, and Animal Training. I am passionate about taking care of both domestic (dogs and cats) as well as exotic animals (fish, birds, reptiles) pets. I've been working at the Georgia Aquarium for the last 7 years in animal care, which is pretty much a dream job. When I'm not taking care of animals, you can likely find me outside hiking or hanging out with my 2 kids.
