Pet care experience
Anybody who knows me knows I'm more of an animal person than a people person! Growing up I have always been surrounded by animals- when I'm around them, I feel comfortable and at peace. I consider the existence of animals to be an extraordinary gift to our planet, and I find myself exceedingly fortunate to be surrounded by their boundless love and pawsitive energy. Drawing upon years of experience in dog and house sitting for both familial and friendly acquaintances, I currently share my home with two wonderful feline companions. I would be honored to watch your pets for you and take care of them as needed. I'm available throughout the week - during the afternoons and later in the evening after 5 PM (this could include overnights as well). I'm also available all day on weekends. I can't wait to hear from you! HOUSE SITTING REQUESTS: Due to living on my own and having two cats at home, I unfortunately am not available for long-term house sitting. I am available for two nights max. I apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding!

Melissa is a gem of a human being and an animal lover like no other I’ve seen. She has so much patience and empathy for animals/a natural draw to them. She started watching my frenchie when she was a pup (now 2.5) and now watches my frenchie and Boston. My frenchie is aggressive and my Boston is obsessed with attention. The two together are a handful. Melissa is always loving and patient with them. I would trust Melissa with my house, my dogs, and my kids. A must hire!
Melissa was awesome. She was available for a last minute stay to care for my pup when I had to travel for a memorial. She was flexible with timing to come meet and greet and my pup took to her right away. During the stay she kept in touch. When I returned my puppy seemed to be missing her and waiting for her to come take him out for a walk. She even put the sheets from my bed through the wash so I had clean ones to put back on when I arrived home late at night. I will definitely work with Melissa again!
Melissa was great! She checked in before and after my trip about my expectations, and texted me once over the weekend to ask about why my dog might not be eating. She stayed in our home, but left no trace of her, and even left us a left over fruit tart! Haha! Melissa comes highly recommended by me, my two dogs, and cat.

1. If the dog gets along well with other animals (especially dogs if we go on walks). 2. Any current medications or food aggression. 3. If the dog/s are friendly, or a bit timid. That way I can know how to appropriately approach them.
A typical day
I enjoy taking your dog(s) on walks around your neighborhood and getting some exercise in for the both of us! If your dog(s) get along with other dogs and people- I would be more than happy to take them to a dog park! For cats, I will use whatever toys they love to play with to provide them with stimulation and fun :)

I currently work full time Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. However, I’m more than happy to stop by and check on your animal(s) during my lunch break.
