I remember taking care of my grandfather’s black lab, Simba. We adopted him from a shelter and I considered him my best friend until he passed away, when I was 15 years old. As a child I was shy and it was difficult for me to connect with other kids my age. Animals became my life—my relationship with Simba and other dogs in my family (everything from Boston Terriers to labs) helped me develop confidence, which helped me in my human relationships as well. I credit Simba with inspiring me to pursue my lifelong passion of working with animals and am so grateful for the experience of caring for him at a young age! I went on to volunteer at the local shelter where I was tasked with working with abused dogs, including feedings, walks, cleaning and my favorite, play time. I sharpened my skills and learned the importance of patience, trust and respect in working with mistreated dogs. I am also fortunate to be a part of a family of veterinarians who allowed me to volunteer with their practice and gain knowledge by working with trainers in their circle. Leaving your pet with a stranger is a difficult thing to do and it’s not an act that I take for granted. I understand that it can be stressful for both the owner and the pet and I work hard to make the transition as smooth as possible. I take my time when meeting a new pup to ease their mind and ease the owner’s mind by sending regular photo and text updates so they know how well their dog is doing in my care. I work from home , which means I have the time and resources to make myself available to your pet 24/7 . I live by myself in a non smoking home. I have a beautiful Boston Terrier who loves making new friends . I have no kids !! & all my time will be spent with your fur baby & mine playing, taking walks & having plenty of treats and exercise and will NEVER EVER leave them alone unattended. My schedule also makes it so that I can be very flexible with pick up and drop offs! I am open to long term weekly arrangements taking care of your dogs or short term as well a one time thing. I prioritize exercise and play in my household and it’s important to me to keep active with the pups in my care. I have an over 1000 sqft townhouse with lots of room. I live by many trails and I have a nice dog park. I would love to spend the day with your pet at Daycare comes have your pet relax with me fun exercise, treats, & a goodie bag.
