Hello there! My name is Melissa and I am an animal lover who has many years of experience in taking care of dogs, cats, and other animals (both as my own pets and those of family and friends). I have previously worked in an animal kennel and volunteered at a stable. Because of this, I am very familiar with pet care routines and over night care, including medication routines and allergies. I have worked with all types of dog breeds, varying sizes, and age ranges. Currently, I am working from home which allows me to have flexibility when walking dogs and I am able to provide around the clock care for your pet. I have the needed skill set to provide the best pet care.

Melissa would be an excellent dog caregiver. I’ve seen her take care of her family dog along with her 2 cats, turtle, fish, and birds. She loves animals and I have no doubt that she will be anything less than amazing when it comes to being a dog caregiver with Rover.

It’s important to know if your dog gets along with other dogs, any dietary issues/allergies, exercise routine, and comfort level with long walks. Knowing the typical daily routine helps me stick to that routine & have the dog feel most at ease.
A typical day
Depending on the pet, I enjoy taking the dogs I care for on long walks and sometimes even hikes (weather permitting). Playing with pets and making them feel at ease is very important.

Availability
I work from home which allows me to have flexibility. Typically I am up early (5:30/6am) and begin work at 8:30 and end my day at 6:30pm.
