Pet care experience
I have years of pet experience but just adore the canine crew. We currently have Willy, a cocker spaniel who is 14-years old and a younger Cockapoo, Buster who is 2-years old. They are the best and would love some play companions during the day, especially the two year old. He doesn't get as much play time as he would like with our older dog. I am very much a doggy mom and adore dogs. I don't look at dogs as just pets but a part of the family and I will treat your furry friend with the same care, that I do with my own. I work from home so your dog won't be lonely or sad. We have a nice backyard for the dogs to play, plenty of great walking trails and parks nearby. I would like your furry friend to get along with my furry loves so would probably want to do a meet/greet prior to starting care. My schedule is very flexible and I can watch your pets during the day or evening/nights. Whatever is needed, I can help! I look forward to meeting you and your furry BFF!

I’m so glad I went on Rover.com and met Melissa! She is warm and caring person who genuinely loves dogs. At her home, which is beautiful and very neat by the way, the dogs are allowed to roam inside freely, sit on the furniture and chill in the spacious backyard. I could tell my Joaquin was well taken cared of because he was happy and healthy when I picked him up after a week. She kept in touch via text/email and sent a photo of my dog on a daily basis. She even shared a great tip with me on how my dog would enjoy his food more. Melissa and her family (including Buster and Willy, of course), are lifesavers and I definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful dogsitter. I had a wonderful mini-winter getaway, and so did my pup, thanks to Melissa! Melissa willingly coordinated with a family member who dropped off and picked up my dog each day. (Melissa was available for overnight boarding, but since my dog experiences separation anxiety, we thought daily care, then sleeping at home was the best option.) i very much appreciated Melissa's understanding, cooperation and flexibility. My dog was reportedly happy to go each day, and upon my return, she was the calmest and least reactive from any of our extended separations. Thanks, Melissa!
Violet had a great time with Melissa. I appreciated Melissa's cooperation in setting up a meet and greet beforehand. She also kept me informed of Violet's time with her with photo and posts. Melissa and her family welcomed my shy dog, and did everything possible to make her feel comfortable. I liked her interactions with the dogs; she understands them and provides a good environment for them. It was easy to communicate with Melissa. I will definitely use her services again!
We needed to getaway to Guatemala for a couple of weeks and Melissa and Alex took great care of our dog Hugo. They opened their home to our dog and our dog completely fell in love with Melissa, Alex, Buster, and their charming 8 year old son. It was our first time leaving our puppy with anyone, and we were very uneasy, but Melissa and Alex made us feel very comfortable with leaving our dog in their more than capable hands. They explained that they would Love to care for Hugo again in the future and we most definitely will take them up on the offer. Thank you so very much Melissa and Alex, and family?????

I would prefer that your dog is social and likes to play with other dogs. I do prefer dogs that are small to mid-size, similar to mine (Cocker Spaniel & Cockapoo), about 20-40 LBS max.
A typical day
Love to go on long walks in our neighborhood and there are some great parks nearby. Our yard is great for the dogs to play ball in or sun themselves on our deck.
