Pet care experience
I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2007, and love hanging out with dogs and cats! I have a black lab and a tuxedo cat myself, and I can’t imagine my life without them! Having your pets stay at home when you’re are out of town, rather than boarding them elsewhere, can reduce stress on your pets by minimizing changes to their routines. That’s where I come in. Not only is your fur baby taken care of, but your house is too! With my experience in the veterinary field you can feel comfortable knowing your fur kids will be well looked after. Of course I’m happy to send updates and pictures while you’re away for your peace of mind, and so you don't miss your furry friends too much while you're gone!

Thank you Melissa for caring for my two boys! They both looked like they enjoyed your company. The meet and greet was smooth and very pleasant. Everything was done according to directions with food. ? ( as my cats have different kinds to eat) I love that I was updated on every visit and how my cats were doing plus photos! Melissa is a life saver for us! We have a dog that requires Insulin, multiple medications and is blind. It has been very difficult to find someone who can look after him and who he also feels comfortable with. I could tell within seconds of the two of them meeting that Melissa is great with dogs and very caring and responsible. We will be using her again soon!
Melissa came in to look after our cat. We had just lost our other cat and she made sure our big guy was doing well. It was nice to see the pictures to know he was okay. I highly recommend Melissa as a pet sitter. She was very caring to our big guy which put our minds at ease.
I'm a veterinarian, and my family includes three dogs and a cat, all with various health problems and special needs. Melissa is the only person who I entrust with the care of my pets when I'm away. Melissa is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), so she is trained to handle all sorts of animals. My fur babies love it when Melissa visits, and always get very excited to see her! In addition to taking the dogs on walks, she is comfortable administering the medications my pets need, which is a great help! Having Melissa looking after my babies when I'm away gives me the peace of mind I need to enjoy my time off. I highly recommend her!

Do they have dietary restrictions? Does your fur baby have behaviour traits I need to know about? Where can I find the leash, food and poop bags? (They’re never where you think they’ll be!) Do your pets have a special bedtime routine? This information helps me provide the best experience possible for them while you’re away.
A typical day
We will go for walks around the area they’re in and visit the nearby parks. That’s where all the best smells are for your fur baby to check out! Obviously we have to play either tug a war or fetch, whichever they prefer! Of course there will be plenty of ear rubs, tummy rubs, and butt scratches – because who doesn’t love those? There will be plenty of TLC given to your fur baby, and I will look after them as though they are my own!
