Melissa and her family have been our next-door neighbors for 19 years. And for all of that time, in countless ways, Melissa has shown herself to be consistently dependable, responsible, hardworking, caring, conscientious, and capable. Melissa has been at the helm as we watched her and her husband Steve create a secure, stable, safe, and loving home environment for their sons – an attractive, warm, and welcoming home that has always been open to family and friends – and we have witnessed first-hand as their boys grew into two especially fine young men. We have also watched as Melissa successfully organized and managed her own small business, juggling outside jobs at the same time as meeting the needs of her home and family, with energy, focus, and diligence. Over the years, we have trusted Melissa with our home, our pets, our vehicles, and sometimes even ourselves and other family members, as if she were a family member herself. Over and over, whenever we have counted on Melissa to be there for us, she has been there, and she has never let us down. We have left our entire house and its contents and our beloved pets in her care, sometimes for days and sometimes for weeks, knowing that we don’t need to worry because of her watchful eye, her character and competence, and her commitment to responsibility. Melissa is cheerful and creative, she shows constant concern for our safety and well-being, even without being asked, and we are confident she would be an asset in any given situation requiring careful attention to others.
