Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Melissa and I would love to be your pet sitter or dog Walker! I've had dogs and cats at home since I was born... plus some other animals too :) My siblings and I would bring home abandoned dogs and cats, ducks and chickens and once a bunny! We had a big backyard so space was not a problem. I've been working as a Dog walker for a while now... You are able to check it out on my Instagram where I post my walks and adventures with most of my furry loves! Currently, my husband and I have two sweet and fun kitties of 5 and 7 months old, two rescues in honor of our beloved cat Cocoa that sadly passed away last year. I also have two loving daughters that already left for college! I genuinely love animals and every time I meet a new dog or cat I come with lots of love, patience, and understanding. I believe that my care and time with your pet is to be sure he or she will be happy and well taken care of, that you will be satisfied with my services, and that you know I've done my best to keep them and your property safe. Even though I love dogs and cats very much and want to hug and kiss them all, I understand each one of them come from a different background, with different needs and therefore when we meet I always give them space and time to approach and trust me. About the walks... I Love walking! I'm a fit lady, grew up as a Figure and speed roller skater, and I walked the famous Pilgrimage across Spain, the Camino de Santiago, in 2016. :) And lastly, I work as a dog walker for a couple other companies and have some slots of my week already taken, but please don't hesitate to inquire my availability. Amazing as always!!
We had Melissa over 3x/day for 5 days while we were out of town on vacation. I have a 15 year old Maltese that needs meds 3x/day. She was there on time and/or early and stayed late many times as he needed special food etc. She was absolutely stellar in every way, shape and form. She sent us many pictures/videos and updates every day. She is very caring and considerate and we would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone in the future. Melissa is an excellent dog sitter/walker and very detail oriented. She took care of our two dogs (one with a recent back surgery) and sent detailed notes of every visit. We felt very comfortable leaving our house and dogs in her care. I will certainly use her again and recommend her to anyone that wants their pets to be in good hands while they are out of town.
We love Melissa and so does Harley! She is so thorough with her notes and we are confident that our puppy is in good hands with her!

Please let me know if: - your dog or cat has any allergies - your dog or cat is anxious or afraid of strangers coming into your house - your dog needs extra time to warm up to people. - your dog or cat can be picked up if needed. (from a bed to be leashed - during a walk if he or she looks in pain) - your dog or cat doesn't like to be petted.
A typical day
~ I prefer to walk around parks or neighborhood safer streets. I will avoid big and buzzy roads as much as possible. ~ I also avoid contact with other doggos during our walks as some dogs act weird or aggressively when on a leash. ~ For my recurring walks I try to change our path after I'm sure the doggo knows the way back home from that path. ~ I always bring a ball with me, and water as well. ~ I usually carry treats but I only buy the dried frozen treats without any allergens and won't give it to your dog unless you allow me to. ~ My longest dog client have already a connection with me so I am able to take her to the dog park to play catch off leash (after the owner requested me to and I was sure the doggo would come to me if I called her). ~ If you have a backyard I will play with your dog in your backyard during a day sitting.
