I have always loved and cared for animals my whole life. Throughout my life, I have owned many different kind of pets. Growing up and continuing into my adulthood I have always been the friend or family member that was asked to care for the pet while they were away. My furry family member is Leroy, a miniature Dachshund. He is always at my feet and always first to notice when I come into a room. I got Leroy at six weeks old and we are the only family Leroy knows. He was only 5 inches long and weighted less than a pound. Now, three year later Leroy is 22 inches long and is tipping the scale at 16.2 pounds. I would not call Leroy overweight, I would call him husky. His vet also says that he is not over weight that he is muscular. Anyway, I still walk Leroy and he loves it and it keeps him fit. Currently I am walking a Golden doodle-malamute mix three times a week for an hour. I have been walking her for the last six months. I also just ended a job where I watched five cats and one dog. I was instructed to drop in three times a day. I would visit in the morning to feed all the animals and let the dog out and clean the litter boxes. I would then visit in the afternoon to check on the animals and let the dog out. The last visit would be around 7:30, I would again feed if needed and clean litter boxes and let the dog out. I did this job for 3 days. I have always loved animals and animals have always loved me. I enjoy being a dog walker because every time I show up for a job, my client is super excited to see me. Their tail is wagging, their tongue is out and they are jumping for joy. This is the best way to start a day.
