Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs, and started working with animals at the age of 17 at a local pet store that offered boarding and grooming. From there I started working in the veterinary field as a receptionist and veterinary assistant at times. That's been my field of work for the past 11 years. And of course I have had my own dogs over the years. I currently have one Dachshund that loves everyone! It's hard to only have one I will admit.

Melissa has helped with my two dogs many times. She is an animal lover and treats dogs with care and respect. She has a lot of knowledge when it come to taking care of dogs with being a dog owner herself but also working in the veterinarian world. If you need someone to care for your dogs she is your girl I give her 10/10!

I have a fenced yard here at my home. So they are able to go in out often. My dog is in and out all day. For in home potty breaks or dog walking, I have reliable transportation so no concerns there. And over the years I've done a few jobs of pet sitting in the home and drop ins multiple times a day. I'm very strict about not allowing people food to be given to my own dog so the same would apply to yours while they're visiting in my home.

I'm pretty flexible and so is my schedule. But if your dog will need any special accommodations please be sure to inform me ahead of time so I have time to be fully prepared for your dogs stay. And for boarding or doggy daycare stays in my home, I will require vaccinations are current, as well as flea and tick medicine and heartworm medicine. I will ask to see proof or get permission to contact your veterinarian myself.
A typical day
We have a large variety of toys here in our home. Live in a neighborhood with mostly paved sidewalks so easy for walks. I do carry pepper spray to protect animals and myself during walks as well. And there is two different parks nearby we can go to for extra play time and walks.
