Hello, I'm Melissa! I'm a wife, and doggy mom to a Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy, Chelsea May. :) On Feb. 11, 2016, my husband, Kyle, and I brought Chelsea to her fur-ever home, where we all reside in Lawrence, Kansas. Chels will be 2 years old on December 17th. She is full of energy, incredibly playful and super friendly! We also have 1 very patient and photogenic Guinea Pig, named Louie. He has his own large separate cage located in the laundry room. Having pets bring so much joy into our lives, and we like to help take care of other pets while their doggy parents are away! Giving animals the love and attention they deserve is so important throughout their daily lives. When dogs are caged for an entire day or left at home without anyone to socialize with for the majority of the day, it's just sad! I understand most doggy parents aren't able to be around their pet all day, which is where I come in. :) I'd be happy to help care for your pet while you are away! When I'm not taking care of my own pets, friend's pets or of clients, I'm most likely photographing either nature, pets, industrial products, or Real Estate for my photography business, MB Greetings. I work from home, therefore I'm able to give a lot of attention towards animals! I enjoy meeting new clients and providing them with a helpful, meaningful and positive service. I am so happy that I finally found a perfect person, Melissa for my dog. Soony stayed 6 nights with Melissa and I was relieved knowing that Soony was in the safe, neat and loving place while I was out of town. Melissa was willing to gather all the information about Soony and was very accommodating to my dog’s needs. She walked Soony very often and updated me with photos and texts during my trip. Detailed, organized and very professional. She was very knowledgeable about dogs in general and super friendly. I could not have asked for more and would highly recommend her! Soony will definitely be staying again next time when I need to leave town. Thank you so much for taking such a good care of her!!!!
She was great! When we went on vacation we were at ease knowing that she was there. She was very flexible and sent pictures to us. Scheduling was easy and she even worked with us over the holiday weekend. We would highly recommend her to anyone! :)

I will only accept dogs that are spayed and neutered, and that are also over 1 year of age. What I Offer: Stop-over visits at your home Pet feeding, walks, exercise and play at your home When we "Meet & Greet" prior to booking, please provide me with your pet(s) daily schedule. I will do my best to stick to that schedule so as to not further confuse them while you are away. I'll also update you with pictures and text messages during their stay, if interested! Let me know if your pet(s) are walked daily or just let out in the yard. I will monitor them at all times, and they will always be leashed. Providing Pet Sitting at Your Home: Please make sure to show me where their food, water, treats, toys, leash, harness and bags are located. Also, please give me the specific measurement amount of food given per meal. Please list any Health Concerns and/or Daily Medications and Attention: I'd prefer to have a list of their nutrition diet plan if they need to be fed while they are under my care. Also, please provide emergency contact information if an issue would occur, along with their local veterinary clinic and physician name. Other Questions: What is your pup's personality like? What do they like to play with and how do they like to play? I want to be able to understand your dog's personality and create a positive and friendly relationship with them.
A typical day
I will be happy to take your dog on the requested route given by the parents. If there's a usual route you take, that'll be no problem! Safe and friendly parks, sidewalks, and pathways are wonderful options to take any pet for a quick or leisure walk.
