My name is Melissa and I LOVE dogs; my husband Ken is pretty passionate about them as well. Our 16- year-old mini-dachshund, Scrappy passed away several ago and although we still miss him, we find comfort in taking care of dogs for friends and family. We love to take the dogs on hikes, walks on the beach and playing in our backyard -- we really just love to see them enjoying themselves! I work Tuesday -Thursday for about 18 hours per week so I can dedicate lots of time and attention to your best friend! I am also sensitive to older dogs who have limited mobility or need extra attention/care. I have excellent references and lots of experience with many different breeds. You can relax knowing your dog is being pampered -- they will love it here!

Melissa is an attentive and responsive caregiver. We have used her a handful of times to care for our shy labradoodle while we are away. She is attune to Hazel's needs so that Hazel was quite comfortable very quickly. She sends updates and pictures regularly, which puts our minds at ease that Hazel is well cared for. Now Hazel loves to spend time with Melissa and her whole family, who love on Hazel like she is their own.

Melissa and her family took such great care of our pup Bonkers while we were away for 8 days. She updated me regularly w pictures of everyone playing and loving on him. He came home extremely happy. I really felt as if he had a vacation of his own while we were gone!

A typical day
I enjoy seeing the dogs have a good time. We play hide and seek and all the usual games (like fetch). We have a trail close to our home where we can take the dogs for a nice long walk— there is lots to do to keep them occupied.

I’m currently working part-time, Tuesday through Thursday for about 18 hours/week so I can board from Thursday evening through Monday. If you are comfortable with your dog being left while I’m at work, I am happy to accommodate for longer stays.
