Pet care experience
I am 32 years old and live in the Holland area. I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. I also have experience with other animals like rabbits, iguanas, and ferrets. I am a huge animal lover and animals have always been my passion. I actually volunteer at the local humane society because I just can't get enough! My dog is my best friend. He's a border collie cattle dog mix. You can rest easy knowing your pet will get the love and treatment it deserves if you trust me with your best friend. I understand it is hard to find the right person so I am willing to meet first just so you know your animal is in good and loving hands and do whatever makes you the most comfortable. I am also experienced with special needs animals. I love taking walks and am actually really good at training animals too so if you'd like me to work with them let me know! Hope to hear from you!

Melissa did a great job taking care of my two Golden Retrievers. They're 22 months old, from the same litter and are jet fueled. Boomer has pogo sticks for legs and Hudson is usually only a half step behind. I recommend her highly and she will be my first call whenever I need to be away from home overnight in the future. Melissa sent pictures and updates and I know the boys had fun and were well cared for.
Melissa did a wonderful job in taking care of our cat. She was available on very short notice which was greatly appreciated! She is reliable and trustworthy!
Look no further! Could not have asked for anything more, happy dogs and clean house! Melissa did a great job with our two very different pups. She was able to give both of them the attention they needed. She is a very kind and caring person, kept us inform and always responded quickly with communication. Definitely will use again!

When it comes to caring for any pet I think it is incredibly important to make sure they are safe. That is my #1 priority. First thing I always do (in my home and others) is make sure there isnt anything that can cause harm to your pet. After that, my next step would be to ensure that things are comfortable for them. That means cleaning up any accidents if there are any, making sure they have toys (if allowed) to keep them entertained, etc. Then I would accommodate their needs. Id make sure they are fed and always have fresh water. If your dog needs exercise like mine does I'd love to take walks with them as well. I'm also pretty decent at training dogs so this would be a great time to practice positive reinforcement with them if given the opportunity!

A typical day
Dogs especially need mental AND physical stimulation which is why I mostly focus on training/games as well as getting outside and moving around. My favorite game to play is hide and seek. I have them sit and stay while i go hide and once they find me I reward them with a treat! Dogs LOVE this game! Going for walks are a great way to stimulate them and keep them from getting bored. I'm also willing to take your dog to a specific place if they have a favorite place to go to like a dog park! Let me know!
