Hi! I'm Melissa! Based in Palos Verdes, I serve the entire South Bay and offer daycare, boarding primarily and in-home visits. I absolutely love animals and have 30+ years personal and 15 years professional pet care experience with a wide variety of pets and in all stages of life. In addition to dogs and cats, I care for horses, goats, rabbits, birds/poultry, lizards of all types, turtles/tortoises, ferrets, snakes and fish. I provide a clean and stress free environment for your pet to have fun and make new friends while you're away. The happiness, health and safety of your pet and your peace of mind are my top priorities.

My dogs love to go to Melissa's place. She takes great care of them.
Melissa watched my two Matipoos and she was great. It was an easy drop off and pick up. There's enough space for the little ones to run around. And they smell so good when I picked them up. I will trust her to watch my two Matipoos again.
I recommend Melissa as a good place to board your dog in a home environment that is safe with a fully enclosed yard. Melissa walked my dog every day. My dog was very content , and I plan to board her there again.
Melissa took wonderful care of our two poodles. They spent a week with her, they came back happy and calm. Loved how flexible Melissa was with schedules and how much yard space she had for them to run around. So relieved to have found someone we can rely on. We’ll definitely be contacting her again.

I have 2 fully enclosed yards. Dogs are always supervised and grouped by size and temperament to ensure safe play and interaction. When not outside they are free to roam inside my home, and have easy access to a small yard to relieve themselves. I also have a separate room set up just for the pups with beds, toys, etc. Crates are available if preferred and/or necessary. All pets must be up to date on their vaccines and using a flea treatment.

I do not exclude based on breed. Preferably your dog has good manners, is tolerant of other dogs and not aggressive. However, accommodations can be made for those who don't exactly play well with others. Please advise any sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions your dog may have. I also ask that dogs staying with me are current on their vaccinations and flea treatments.
A typical day
I love to walk with the dogs and will often hit up one of the many area trails for a hike or head to the coast to walk along the beach or cliffs. When walking is not possible the dogs play outside in the 2 yards, sun bathe and can even swim in the pool.
