I currently have two Poms of my own, one female age 12 that’s spayed & one male age 7 that’s not fixed. I've been pet sitting for friends & coworkers that travel for both work & personal for about 5 years. I also foster animals, so far it's just been kittens. I've had up to 4 dogs, 3 small and 1 medium sized dog in addition to 1 kitten I was taking care of. I do have to walk the dogs as I don't have a yard but we always try to get in 4-5 miles a day. The most I've ever walked is 4 dogs at one time. Dogs are allowed on the sofa & bed. I also reinforce training such as wait, sit, leave it while on walks & I keep treats on me at all times to reward them for it. I do try to make sure the treats I have are grain free & chicken free since a lot of dogs are allergic or have stomach issues with those. And I also try to stay away from peanut butter treats when we meet a parent with a child that wants to give the dogs a treat. With a lot of kids having nut allergies I try to make sure they don't have a reaction either. I do work full time Monday-Friday and I have a 2 hour volunteer shift on Sunday mornings at the Humane Society.

I cannot day enough wonderful things about Melissa! She watched our babies for our wedding weekend and kept us updated on how they were doing with the cutest photos and videos. We will definitely be contacting her anytime we have to go anywhere, or maybe even if we just need some peace and quiet!! Thank you so much Melissa!! You were beyond fantastic!!
Absolutely loved working with Melissa! Would (already have, actually) book her again! Got plenty of pictures and updates on our pups while we were on vacation. They were well cared for in our absence, going to stick with Melissa as long as she is willing to put up with us :) 10/10 would recommend

Melissa was super friendly and took great care of our pup while we were away on vacation. She kept frequent contact and shared numerous pictures to show that our little guy was having a good time! Will definitely book Melissa in the future!

The only breed that I may not be able to watch would be a Pitbull. My male Pom gets a little aggressive while on leash passing a Pitbull. Would prefer to meet in a park off leash to make sure everything goes well. That’s the only dog breed I would like to have my male Pom meet a couple of times to see the interaction before dog sitting. I also can only pet sit spayed females as my male isn’t fixed.
A typical day
Walk in my neighborhood. I live in a condo off of West Lake in Middletown so there's great walking trails. There is also a dog park a 5 minute car ride away. A basket full of toys to play fetch & tug of war with.
