I started dog sitting in the comforts of home to alleviate unnecessary stress of going away for the pet. Dogs staying will get attention and love from the comforts of a couch or bed and get to run in a large fully fenced yard. I have also run a dog rescue with over 900 fosters passing through my home over the past 12 years so I have plenty of experience with all breeds, ages, sizes, needs. I am also a dog trainer who uses science based methods that is force free. Having this experience allows for me to recognize your dogs needs much easier. We focus on low stress stays and strive to keep the dogs happy and interacted with safely. We use Snapchat to communicate with photos and videos

Melissa is THE PERFECT dog sitter. She is passionate about her pack and well versed in accommodating and caring for dogs of any breed, history, and energy level. Although it is not noted in the description, it is a HUGE plus to know that she operates a doggy daycare during the day and in the evening your dog goes back to her home with her family. This means that your dog is not alone at all! It is like taking your dog to summer camp!!! In our case, we had an unexpected family event that required pet care and our family felt very comfortable leaving our new rescue dog in Melissa's care. Melissa sent us photos and videos throughout the stay, which was very thoughtful. During this difficult time for our family, seeing our beloved canine thriving in Melissa's care meant the world to us. Thank you Melissa!!! You are truly gifted at what you do and you are absolutely wonderful!!!!!
Although I live an hour away, I gladly drive it to use Melissa. I trust Melissa to take good care of my two large dogs. I like that she posts pics to Facebook so I know how my boys are doing. My dogs have given her problems before like breaking out windows, but she takes care of the problem. The most important thing is my boys are excited to go to Melissa's. What can be better than that?
