I hate to leave a less-than-stellar review as Melissa was very nice, provided us with updates, and our dog seemed happy when we got home. However, we had a few issues. When we arrived, our cats food and water were bone dry and he was immediately crying for both. The litter box looked like it had not been scooped in quite some time-- it was so full that the cat had peed in the middle of the floor, which he has never done before. Both of these issues were especially odd considering Melissa was still at our house when we arrived. Additionally, the drapes I had requested to stay open (our dog gets anxious if she can't see out) were closed and a little piece was chewed off and on the floor. Lastly- not an issue related to our pets but to housesitting in general- six of our (expensive) white towels were completely covered in dirt and makeup. I've had to spend a lot of time so far scrubbing stains out and not sure if I'll be able to. Melissa really does seem like a nice person but unfortunately I don't think we'll be using her again.
